Animation Details

Chaturanga to Upward Facing Dog centers on a change from a low, bent-arm position to a lifted chest. After an upright opening, the character folds forward, places the hands on the floor and sends the legs back. The torso descends as the elbows bend, bringing the chest close to the ground.

The arms then extend while the chest rises and the legs trail behind, creating the visible upward-facing shape. After holding this lifted posture, the character moves through a raised-hip position, brings the feet forward and returns to standing. The preview includes hands-near-chest poses and arms-out endpoints that can be considered when choosing an edit range.

Technical Specifications

Listed animation format: FBX. Motion category: yoga pose transition with standing preparation and recovery. Source frame rate, bone count, root motion and looping characteristics have not been independently confirmed.

Compatibility and Production Workflows

Maya's FBX import offers a starting point for refining the chest lift and transitions within a film shot. Unreal Engine's skeleton-retargeting workflows may support transferring the motion to a fitness or game avatar with appropriate setup. Check planted hands, torso deformation and leg clearance on the target character. These workflows have not been asset-tested.

Suitable Uses

Yoga-themed character scenes, fitness-avatar demonstrations, animated studio sequences and film previs. The low-to-raised chest transition creates a distinct visual beat for routine-overview edits or a character's background exercise activity.
