Animation Details
Chopping a Tree with an Axe 1 centers on an overhead lift followed by a downward arm movement. Starting with the feet apart and hands near the waist, the character extends the arms forward, then raises both hands above the head. The shoulders and upper torso turn as the arms reach the high position.
The hands travel downward in front of the body while the character moves into a staggered stance and leans toward the leading leg. After this low follow-through, the arms lift again before returning toward the chest and waist. The preview shows this body-action sequence without a rendered axe, tree or confirmed point of impact.
Technical Specifications
Listed animation format: FBX. Motion category: overhead preparation, downward swing and recovery. Source frame rate, joint count, root motion and loop characteristics have not been independently verified.
Compatibility and Production Workflows
Maya's FBX import can support editing the overhead action for a cinematic work scene. For a game character, Unity Humanoid retargeting requires suitable rig mapping. Review shoulder reach, hand spacing and foot contact, then align any separately supplied tool and target to the motion. These workflows have not been asset-tested.
Suitable Uses
Animated forestry scenes, survival-game resource gathering, worker-character actions and cinematic environment interactions. The high preparation and low follow-through create a distinct vertical action beat; object responses and effects would need separate production work.
