Animation Details
Afraid of something and runs combines running steps with a deep crouching reaction and a change of orientation. The preview begins with alternating leg lifts and bent arms near the torso. The character then drops low, bends sharply at the knees and reaches an arm outward while turning through the compressed pose.
As the body rises, the arms spread for balance and the feet move into further running steps. The movement eventually gathers toward a more upright standing position. The pronounced dip gives the escape a specific defensive beat, providing a useful point to stage a sudden threat before the character moves away.
Technical Specifications
File format: FBX, according to the existing listing. Motion category: reactive running with a deep crouch, reorientation and upright recovery. Source frame rate, skeleton details and root-motion behavior have not been confirmed.
Compatibility and Production Workflows
MotionBuilder offers an FBX retargeting workflow after suitable source and target characterization. For real-time chase staging, Unreal Engine requires an appropriate skeleton. Review knee compression, hand-to-floor clearance and the change in facing on your target character; these workflows have not been tested with this asset.
Suitable Uses
Duck-and-escape moments, ambush reactions, sudden direction changes in chase scenes and horror-action previs. The low turning pose can help coordinate an overhead hazard or offscreen scare, while the following strides carry the reaction into movement.
